  1. On banks – It has sunk in to me that we are a ‘begging-bowl’ economy. We’ll sell our children and grandchildren for more international money , credits, investment – actually not our own, but others’ who will just have to accept their lower lot in life, in all meanings of the word.

We used to be patronising about Pacific Islands’ requests for aid, they had a ‘cargo-cult’ mentality. But oh how quickly the tune can change when it suits us to adopt the prone position, at the behest of our international-finance and wealth-accreting advisors to suit our business dealers. And talking gleefully by gummint about how efficient business is; why – because its aims so narrow, profit is its desired outcome, and growing expectations feeding its stock market positioning and valuation. People huh, they will never stop breeding – there’s more where they come from.
