That has to be the most transparent attempt to curry favour with the NZ public ever. “If we mention rugby, they’ll forget all about our veiled threats of economic sabotage, our penchant for debt slavery and our flogging of Christchurch’s water for pennies. 3. I live and breath rugby but I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t see this as anything other than a patronising attempt to sway public opinion . . seriously how stupid do they think we are?

   Rugby is rugby and national security / sovereignty etc is something quite different.

The fact they rolled out those ads makes them look desperate they are starting to look like bullies (china) we need to be ready for the backlash these people can be very controlling and power hungry and its our own fault cause we had 9 years of a government bending over backwards while at the same time lining their own pockets.
