1. Correction: The British outlawed slavery, compensated slave owners for taking away their ‘property’ and spent 100years patrolling the seas to impose control on maritime trade by their rival nations.
   In the process they liberated African slaves and dumped them on the West African coast in Sierra Leone.

2. Typical middle class pontificating. And you’re not upper class Annie, spelt the ordinary way. If you were uc you’d be mixing with Harvey Weinstein’s sort of mastery, 14 year old slave girls, until 18. When we give people respect, jobs with livable wages enabling time for a laugh,, honour parents ensuring they are housed. and all respect each other, people who work hard will no longer think of themselves as slaves.
