Netenyahu’s ‘Concentration camps’ for Gaza

Critics say defence minister’s proposal for ‘humanitarian city’ points to longer-term intentions

Last Tuesday NZT, Defence Minister Israel Katz said he had instructed the country’s military to prepare for the construction of a “humanitarian city” on the ruins of Rafah, the southernmost town in the Gaza Strip that has been largely razed amid Israel’s ongoing campaign.

The plan, as reported by Israeli newspaper Haaretz, would see Israeli forces vet and relocate hundreds of thousands of people from Gaza’s north to this facility, which they would not be able to leave as Israel continued its operations against remaining Hamas redoubts.

Katz indicated that Israel’s ultimate goal would be to compel much of this population to emigrate to other countries willing to receive them.

As recently as last week, Israel’s military has denied that population expulsions were part of its operational objectives in Gaza.

But Katz’s proposal reflects a long-sought goal among many Israelis, especially on the right, to wholly take over Gaza and remove some or all of its remaining two million Palestinians.

Now, this vision has teeth: “This is not an expression of opinion or desire”, Michael Sfard, a leading Israeli human rights lawyer, told the Guardian.

“Katz ordered the Army to prepare. It has more meaning, because this guy holds the administrative power to actually do it.”

In March, in the wake of the collapse of an earlier ceasefire, Katz had issued a warning to Gaza residents that, if they didn’t release the remaining hostages and “remove Hamas” themselves, Israel would act with “unprecedented force”.

Other “options” were possible for Gaza’s population, Katz suggested, including “relocation to other countries”, while threatening “complete destruction and devastation”.

At the time, Meron Rapoport, a left-wing Israeli journalist, parsed the statements coming from prominent lawmakers and officials, as well as connected right-wing Israeli journalists, and came up with this somewhat prescient conclusion: “Israel is preparing to forcibly displace the entire population of Gaza – through a combination of evacuation orders and intense bombardment – into an enclosed and possibly fenced-off area,” he wrote on April 1.

He suggested the goal was tantamount to the creation of a large “concentration camp”.

Universities threatened with funding cuts under proposed plan to tackle antisemitism in Australia

Australian universities may lose funding if they’re not judged to be doing enough to address anti-Jewish hate crimes, according to new measures proposed by the country’s first antisemitism envoy.

…and they are attempting this in NZ. The zionist apologist Free Speech Fake Union is attempting to gain control of Internet NZ and it is only a mutterer of time before they start a purge on NZ media of any content they consider ‘anti-semitic’.

…people of conscience can no longer turn away. We must fight back against these Israeli butchers and their Christofascist enablers.

It is no good pretending that the IDF are not a murderous death squad who celebrate the psychological damage their violence causes.

• The shooting of children by snipers in the head.
• The widespread sexual torture inside Israeli detention centres.
• The pinning of soft toys as trophies from Palestinian children that the bulldozers use when flattening homes.
• The dropping of military grade weaponry on Palestinians in tents, hospitals, homes, schools with the false justification that Hamas was using human shields so shooting through civilians is somehow moral.
• The heavy uranium munitions used and the toxic waste the bombing campaign has forever poisoned GAZA with.
• The brutal zionist settlers violence in the West Bank.
• The use of hunger as a weapon.
• The group punishment mentality.

All of it adds up to a people whose own tragedy of the Holocaust has warped and mutated them into defending what they are doing in Gaza and the West Bank.

The disgust anyone with a conscience feels at what the Israeli Government is doing forces any moral being to turn away from any cultural, economic or academic  interaction with Israel.

Zionist apologists have weaponised anti-semitism and use it to smear anyone who criticise their unholy and disproportionate violence.

When people are prepared to justify such horror for their own sense of security, that people become forever damned by such cruel math.

The Palestinians are paying a terrible price in bodies and limbs for their resistance to Occupation, but is the State Israel that has burnt its own soul.

Even if Netanyahu manages to kill every Hamas member in Gaza and the West Bank, even if he cleanses all those places from Palestinians, the price will be more than any of them can pay.

Even if Israel ‘wins’ they will have lost so much that any sense of ‘victory’ will be bitter ashes in their hollow mouths.

How dare zionist apologists use the Holocaust to defend this genocide.
