600 odd requests, over 400 denied.

This follows a clear pattern with the National Party.
They announce some draconian knee jerk policy reaction, that everyone in the secotr wars will produce counter productive negative outcomes and they always looked surprised.
EVERYONE told them that their changes to Emergency Housing would generate more homeless.
EVERYONE told them cutting back on Food Banks would make desperate people hungry.
EVERYONE told them the welfare sanctions wouldn’t work.
EVERYONE told them that denying compensation for being abused a s child if you had gone to prison was contrary to what the Royal Inquiry recommended.
EVERYONE told them cancelling the IRex Ferries was fucking stupid and would end up costing us more.
EVERYONE told them that shutting down Labour’s infrastructure pipeline would see workers leave NZ for Australia.
EVERYONE told them scrapping the EV market would cause negative outcomes.
In each case the Government were warned and they did it anyway and now scramble to fix the problem they have helped create!

Case in point, landlord is an international sportsman who owns 4 property’s and drives a Jag SUV.
Tenant issues a 14 days notice due to rot, water ingress and mold in one room and a major ceiling leak in another who then issues a 7 days notice within one hour after the 14 day notice was sent to vacate because it needs to be re-roofed and is “uninhabitable”
One landlord and 5 property managers CC in the eviction notice doesn’t think it illegal under tenancy law.
