MediaWorks to relaunch 4 as post modern reality TV where journalists fight for survival on an Island – what Mark Weldon should do now
So TV3 have cut a new deal to make TV4 a reality TV station, because that’s what our culture needs, more manufactured ‘reality’ TV.
Seeing the meltdown that is currently underway at MediaWorks, an unkind person could suggest that MediaWorks themselves are the reality TV show.
I want to see all the former MediaWorks journalists dropped onto an Island and forced to fight each other for one job at 6pm.
With the network on its last legs, Mark Weldon should just go all in and make the channel the Fox News he wants it to be. Put Rachel Glucina and Cameron Slater on at 7pm where they can endlessly throw buckets of vomit on the poor while playing pin the blame on Labour and bring Judith Collins into replace Hilary as the new 6pm News anchor.

And the ants will inherit the Earth.
Except that the nebulous that is National and Mediaworks would self implode with all the ego’s… therefore they could culminate in an action packed Grand Finale with Cameron Slater , Judith Collins , Rachael Glaucoma and Mark Weldon on some bare windswept island contesting who will be the leader.
Id give them one week before they tore each other apart.
And that would be the end of them and Mediaworks. Perhaps then we could all get back to the issues that really matter.

I’m glad our famly and others we know have shut down watching or listening to Media works media channels now, as they can play the munsters or monsters for all we care as we wont see it.
Getting away from TVNZ is easy now as we got the cheap “Basic” version of no frills Sky with History, Discovery, RT, and BBC for $30 a month and could get Netflix for $12 iif we wanted, so we don’t get overloaded with brain dissolving crap now, I feel almost sane again.
We need all opposition members to get their shit together and seize one of the TVNZ channels for their platform before Key and his crooks sell them all too???
Personally I would rather ignore mind numbing reality shows than (as I currently do) ignore an autocue reader getting paid $500K + a year to giggle at Henrys immature ranting’s, the whole idiotic show probably cost less than her annual wage.
I see Louise Wallace is on this new show, didn’t she use to have some credibility at some stage ?
And while im waffling will the same so-called feminists like Marvelly & co now come out and condemn this new female orientated channel Bravo like they did all over the media when the Duke channel was announced…..Tumbleweeds…..
