  1. Of course it’s intentional. Especially after Waatea’s sponsorship of The Bradbury Group – the CoC must hate that!
Also on the ‘asset sales’ list of CoC will likely be public radio. Winston has already threatened it and his dislike of National Radio. Luxon too, is not too keen on them and the ‘hard’ questions they ask; and Seymour is opposed to public broadcasting and any public funding of it.
And what’s going on with TVNZ? Luxon promised an annual interview with Jack Tame and is opting out of his commitment and Louise Upston won’t face up to Jack either.
Even the Concert Programme format is sounding more like UK’s Classic FM – a commercially-driven outlet.
Our publicly-owned electronic media could look very different in a year or two, to its detriment and possible demise.
    Unless, unless, unless ….

  2. Yes, NZ media are not only strangling Maori news but also the Left news. Again and again, our pathetic RW media are pretending they don’t notice – DER! The day of reckoning is coming and may be much sooner than you think. How is a PM ‘allowed’ to be so RACIST and EVIL? You dumb-assed RW voters – it’s all on you, but probably way too late for you to wake up and fix it! Where are your brains located?

  3. I went to a school prize giving yesterday and the minister and he sick ACT side kick would have had a heart attack .TE REO is alive and well among the current generation of school kids .Maori are not going away any time soon and in fact are getting stronger by the day .

    1. Yes, there’s a lot of active defiance going on in unexpected places.
We even got to watch some cricket from Kirikiriroa recently which was surprising, but most refreshing, from TVNZ.

  4. yeah, if people were willing to subscribe to Māori media or to watch it with ads, then it would be fine because it wouldn’t be dependent on government funding decisions.

You know, proudly self-supporting and independent.
