If you ever imagined the Right cared in the slightest about ‘free speech’ you weren’t paying attention. They talk about it a lot – but what they mean is the freedom of their speech to dominate yours, the freedom of their speech to be regarded as the natural determinant of how the world has to be, their freedom to suppress your speech and their freedom to own all the money and all the political and institutional levers of power so that your speech is whispered nervously in a back room.
Unfortunately most American MSM has been hijacked, but fortunately most Americans no longer use them. Given the impending economic collapse of the USA, with the west coast and north east states likely to seceded to Canada, and the old Dixieland likely to “go it alone”, and other states likely to form independent nations, it would seem America’s experiment with plutocracy is destined to be still born. Let’s face it, American democracy was always only as good as an educated aware public made it, where tax structures and wealth were somewhat equitable. When Reagan started to increase that gap, and smash their education system in favour of religious preference, the writing, and Trump, was always on the wall. With the demise of American democracy and equitable tax structures and abysmal education system, their descent into chaos is unfolding like a slow motion train wreck. The split up of the Union is but a matter of time, and is now being seriously considered among influential circles within USA. The scenario outlined is one of several possibilities. Interesting times.
