Why should we Lefties champion an unelected, undemocratic body that is significantly funded by private interests, and that has an undue influence on health policy over all governments of the world. Why should anyone support this state of play, remembering, of course, that we have greater democracy at the local level than we do at the national level, so wave goodbye, completely, to democracy if we allow this undemocratic, arguably compromised and overseas-based, non-government-organization to potentially guide (to but this very, very nicely) our health policy.
