If local Muslims and Jews (many of whom have peacefully coexisted in New Zealand for decades) want an accord, why not? Or do they have to import foreign politics into their lives here just so the pro-Palestinian crowd don’t complain.

We need to face the fact that New Zealand Muslims will not necessarily take a stand for their co-religionists in Palestine. That reflects the reality in the middle east where Arab regimes such as the Kingdoms of Jordan and Saudi Arabia, and the military regime in Egypt work hand in glove with the Zionist regime.
The moral failure exposed by the Gaza genocide is universal. It encompasses Jews, Europeans and Arabs, Christians, Muslims and atheists.
