And the big leading story on TVNZ news for two nights running? The bad animal care at Orana Park. Not saying it isn’t a story, but where is the perspective?
You only needed to see the condition/age of the work vehicles at Orana Park to see that their problem is not enough income/customers. TVNZ putting the boot in is not likely to improve that situation, I would be more impressed if they had called for better accountability & provided a way for people who care to do or provide something that would improve the situation, especially for the animals.
the end result will be all the animals will be euthanised and the place closed .How is that a win for the animals ?
Maybe we are viewed as a big Orana Park. Ouch.
MPI have done an immediate check and found no evidence of neglect. Another none story listening to the story they wanted to hear not proved by fact.
We are regular visitors to the park and it always seems fine and with good visitor numbers and I no way run down.
There will always be injuries to animals which happen in the best run farms

The Chairman. Yep, the only accountability is booting them out at election time, and that’s a flaw in the democratic system which needs to be addressed. Unfortunately, parliamentarians are the least likely persons to address this.
Luxon will have to continue on his mission to sell off health, education, housing ,transport and roading to the highest bidder to pay for this .Then there needs to be serious consideration to returning stolen land as well .
