  1. The status quo got us to where we are today. So lets double down on it. Yeah. Going nowhere fast. But at least Crusher of One Car Collins and her history of corruption, using Fat Boy Cam to attack government departments, and throwing Ian Lee Galloway under the bus all the while ignoring Key shagging around on his wife and that epitome of morality Jaime Lee Ross shagging any one he can before heading off to that bastion of morality, prostitution. Good fucking riddance.

    1. Well said Edward, not I know why Bob the fist loves the right with all that parliament incest going on, he has no morals.

  2. The Coalition is popular enough to get reelected. Luxon is not as popular as a person as Jacinda but she needed to be liked to perform whereas Luxon is not effected and just gets on with his job. I believe a majority of voters will vote them back if their personal situation is good . They will not care as much about our standing overseas.

    1. What job is it that he is “getting on with” apart from managing to comotose the economy and roll it over a cliff…

He doesn’t even have a porfolio….gutless and lazy!

Making Tik Tok videos with his taxpayer funded team of social media people doesn’t count!!

    2. Yes, Trevor proves again he is one of the red-faced cookers who are furiously typing about “wokeness” while the rest of the world celebrates Jacinda’s leadership, kindness, and global success.

Luxon is a failure as most economists and political pundits agree upon.
Not enough feel supported and why National are behind in the polls. If it was FPP Labour would win comfortably. Luxon requires extremist and racist parties to get him across the line and that’s a sad inditement of the radical voters supporting Luxon.

  3. Dame Jacinda Ardern is receiving an honorary degree from Oxford University — and somewhere, a dozen red-faced cookers are furiously typing about “wokeness” while the rest of the world celebrates her leadership, kindness, and global success.

What leadership looks like, Christopher who?

  4. Ah, but he has been invited on to the Board of Peace and he can finance it with all the money Nikky has saved by cancelling that shoddy labour ferry order.

  5. Basics is a relative concept. For example, making lunch for your school kids is a parental basic. But others believe the state should feed school kids.

    1. basics is good secure housing, a decent secure paying job and access to health care when it is needed isn’t that why we are pay taxes.

        1. Yes they are Bob but it’s a shame they’ve failed on every single one of them. They can’t even get the basics right, like you, Luxon couldn’t even change a bike tyre.

  6. Basics is a relative concept. For example, making lunch for your school kids is a parental basic. But others believe the state should feed school kids.

    1. The state should ensure all NZers have access to a stable and secure job that pays enough for them to live reasonably, affordable secure, safe and warm housing and good quality education for our children. Now given kraus they are not delivering on the above, then the state has to obligation to intervene as they did in the 60s when I was a child and in many other times of high need due to epidemics and environmental disasters.

  7. Let’s not kid ourselves…..Luxon has not, and will not ,fix anything, except fixing himself a larcenous tax free profit on the houses that he’s flipped.

He’s just, yet another, mumbo jumbo word salad corporate, who, for some mystifying reason, thinks he has the ability to run a country by ‘chunking down’ ‘the low hanging fruit’ whilst ‘top shelfing’ a ‘broad scope’ of ‘initiatives’ within the context of a ‘big agenda’ without ‘dialoguing’ an ‘intellectual conversation’ about the ‘imponderables’….’going forward’.

He plans to ‘lean into’ all that is ‘on the table ‘with his ‘incredible team’ of know nothing ‘change agents’ to ‘tease out’ how he has fucked everything up so badly in less than two years by ‘siloing’ the many ‘agendas’ that his ‘incredible team’ are ‘not fit for purpose’ for and ‘initiate’ a ‘review’ to find ‘causal synergies’ that have inhibited the ‘game changing’ ‘initiatives’…. ‘within this space.’

    1. Grant, that is brilliant.
I don’t know how you could keep your breakfast down long enough to write it but excellent summary of the meaningless nonsense he talks.
And as Kiwijoker adds, he’s laser focussed.

‘Causal synergies’!!!!!! It doesn’t get better than that.

Apparently Btf, Trevor and a few others can interpret this garbage so their brains are different to ours.

  8. The reason Luxon ignores the basics is simply because he doesn’t recognise them – they are not part of his persona! He has no personality, no sense of humour, no moral fortitude – in fact he is the most uninspiring, truly boring PM NZ has ever had and a self-absorbed narcissist to boot! Unless it’s a photo-shoot opportunity, Luxon completely misses the signals. In the past two years he has failed miserably to recognise that there are two extremes in NZ – one so poor it can hardly hold itself up, while the other revels in the biased monetary gains as well as extra ‘benefits’ from this CoC. The system is so cruel on the workers while the ‘sorted’ swan around pretending they have earned what they have! No wonder they are falling over themselves to vote this deceitful, corrup CoC back in. Way past time for some REAL FAIRNESS in incomes, taxes and benefits. And CoC, FGS STOP the FAST-TRACK NONSENSE – it will, and is already, backfiring on you! I love Martyn’s comment on Luxon, “He is the political kiss of death”.

    1. Prime Minister Luxon draws the attention of commenters on this site daily strongly suggesting he definitely has their attention.
      Amusing.

    2. ‘The kiss of death.’ Everything he touches gets the word salad treatment and it then handled in exactly the opposite way to what needs to happen. He thinks his gobble-de-gook impresses people. Only the dim-witted.

Watched the news last night to hear about Collins going. That’s something to cheer but then they went on to Willis leading up to this year’s budget. There will be absolutely no lollies of course because she’s given away so much for no return whatsoever.
I think she looks stressed. She has lost a lot of weight since the last budget. She has hollow cheeks and was wearing, it must be said, a beautiful dress that fitted her like a glove. But it emphasised the change in shape.
In conclusion her shockingly poor performance as FM does not make her happy. She thought she was great to start with and full of arrogant, waspish comments but I reckon she’s doing it tough now. Trying to live up to the expectations of those demanding corporate welfare, now a disaster to pay for and no good leadership from the top. She’s really on her own. I don’t feel sorry for her, she knows what she should do and refuses, so she doesn’t deserve our consideration. However, the change was interesting to note.
No, Patrize they don’t know what basics are. Covid is pa puts it quite succinctly too. They should be the backstop. They are pleasing no-one and look weaker and less competent by the day.
