Luxon Accuses Labour of Stalling Treaty Principles Bill

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon says Labour is playing politics with submissions on the Treaty Principles Bill.

Over 300,000 submissions were received, including 12,000 handwritten ones, many from tamariki.

Labour’s Dr. Duncan Webb says all submissions should at least be tabled in the official record.

But Luxon says Labour wanted the bill scrapped from the start and is now stalling the process.

“What’s important now is to actually wrap it up and actually move it forward. But ultimately, that’s a decision for the select committee to say. Have they got a good sense of what the submissions pro and against are about? You know what we’ve seen is a Labour Party that’ve said they want to kill the bill and now wanting to extend it out. And I think that’s political, and I think it’s rather cynical,” says Luxon.

This is outrageous!

All Labour are trying to do is ensure everyones submission to this race baiting stunt are recorded!

History is watching this obscene abuse of power, while Luxon is trying to cover it all up!

HE is the one who agreed to this political hate stunt!

HE is the one who was so desperate for power that he didn’t comprehend what it allowed.

HE is the one who has overseen. vast anti-Treaty and ant-Māori agenda.

But it’s Labour’s fault?

That’s so desperate.

  1. Two faced prick .He is the one playing politics with NZ .Labour are doing their job by ensuring every submission is recorded .
    Luxon should have not even allowed such a toxic thing to happen in the first place .But it is in reality a smoke screen for all the other shit that he has allowed to happen such as encouraging smoking ,re arming the ferals ,starving children ,increasing homelessness ,increased unemployment and increased poverty .The list of shit this prick has encouraged so he can get a knight hood is never ending .Then there is the looming blow out in the on going ferry sinking .

    There’s nothing wrong with ensuring the evidence is safe and will be there to remind future power-hungry leaders what can happen when you think you are too smart for everyone.

  6. Good on Labour for prolonging this debacle. The longer it goes on the more embarrassing it is for Luxon and the more marginal right whingers will shift against him and his loony support base.
    ACT and NZ First realise that it’s not going anywhere in its present form so will be working on their supporters to get a citizen initiated referendum in place before the next election. They are far smarter than the Nats who as a group are so individually self promoting that they are actually letting Seymour and Peters get what they want with very little effort.

  7. Given we have a government hellbent on saving money this was a waste of money and shows this was to appease the small percentage of NZers who voted for act. It is a pity we have such a weak PM and at a time when there is so much global uncertainty and war is raging across the globe. I hope the dumb dumbs that voted for these clowns we have ruining our country feel bad cause they should their foolishness has put us in a precarious state.

  8. How much money and time has been wasted by this government Started with sinking ferries then this shit and has carried on with the health system and social housing .
    Then there was the 2.9 billion for land lords who have pocketed the money and are now selling as fast as they can before the housing market crashes this year now that TRump has decided to fuck his own country and China has realised they are buying too much meat and milk from other countries .

  11. 90% of submissions are against so a reforendrum would be another 3 million wasted .It is also the reason that Luxon wants it to disappear because it is another fail for his government like the sinking ferries and tax cuts for land lords who are now selling as fast as they can .

    Democracy and political process has won. Seymour failed however cannot accept defeat.
    As a country we would have been in a better place had it not been for the stupidity of Key in doing a deal in Epsom. Allowing this nobody in Seymour loose on our political scene has enabled radicals a voice. People like Brendan Tarrant have arisen because of ACTs racial divide.
