  1. I am in the UK at the moment and saw how genuine workers dealt with XR members that tried to hold up a tube train. They pulled them off the roof and gave them a message that they were not wanted. At Gatwick the public did not allow the protest to go ahead and they had to be protected by police . In both instances the people involved have been outed as professional protesters and there are pictures of the leaders on ski holidays. I am sure many protestors are sincere but they are being lead by people who want to bring down the west and are not bothered how many are hurt on the way.

    1. Nice observation, seems to me that the protesters mean well but don’t have to live hand to mouth like the rest of the planet. Nothing wrong with the message, delivery leaves a lot to be desired.

  2. Just to be clear, “Any assembly of more than two people linked to the Extinction Rebellion action is now illegal in London.” BBC Link Here.

“Extinction Rebellion argues the ban is disproportionate and an unprecedented curtailment of the right to free speech and free assembly.”

  3. I could be wrong, and a victim of spin/prejudice, but when I see extinction rebellion what I see are largely privileged white kids

  4. I for one don’t feel even slightly guilty about having “white skin”. I do find the term “white privilege” illogical though. Its worth pointing out that not all Europeans (I’m assuming that’s the group in question?) have white skin. Both my grandmother and mother had olive coloured skin as does my daughter who inherited those genes plus some Chinese ones from my wife. As to the privileged part the middle classes, a good portion of which are comprised of European’s, are taxed into the ground by government’s who consistently fail to listen on a raft of issues including climate change.
