  1. Christopher Luxon says “The Kiwis that I talk to every week are saying very clearly, look, we can see the economy strengthening.”
We know who Luxon speaks to “every week”, and they are a very select group. That is his problem. He is isolated from the public. The Westminster system has the effect of creating a divide and a barrier between the people and their putative representatives and it would take a determined effort of will for a Prime Minister to step through that barrier in order to engage with real people. Luxon is not one who has what it takes to listen to the people, to hear their concerns and then to act on them. He is a man who personifies the mangled state of the colonialist regime and foreshadows its collapse.

    1. Exactly.
He makes sure he doesn’t speak to any bottom feeders.
Oh well, his inability to do the job properly will be his undoing.

  2. Sadly for NZ Luxon lives in L-L-Luxon Land and he can’t ever change. We all know he is not PM material; he is simply a failed CEO. His desperate attempts to continue to back Willis are commendable but ludicrous. Her lack of aptitude makes Robertson look like a Financial Wizard. Between them Luxon and Wills have “stuffed up” our economy, country and its people. Great that the coup by Bishop et al failed as he isn’t much better. And as for Simeon – dear me jobs for the mates – it’s all there laughing in our faces but the ‘sorted’ enablers still don’t want to know. I found the article in The NZ Herald re how the Mowbrays, Luxons, A List are spending Xmas to be insensitive and demeaning. No doubt they will all have a great time and I’m sure they won’t give a thought to those who once had a job, home and family but now will spend Christmas on the street. Disgraceful and uncaring.

  3. Luxon does not mix in everyday man circles. He is totally out of his depth as an ex corporate. He would not have the first idea how the people are feeling as he lacks emotion. He is an elitist and entitled.

  4. Luxon is not a prime minister(deliberate use of lower case here)for NZ and NZers but for Big Businesses, the National Party Donators/Sponsors and for Whatever He Himself can get out of Something for Himself.

He has Zero/Nil/Sweet FA interest in NZ.

To Luxon being prime minister albeit Part-time One and on Paper Only is a Vanity Project for him. It’s all that sickening Shoulder Grabbing Pavlova Moment Photo Opportunities whilst jet-setting around the world at the expense of the NZ Taxpayers.

He will Lie, Deny, Obfuscate and after all that resorts to the typical Learnt by Rote response of Blame-Games. The sort of behaviour one would expect from a Spoilt Child having a Temper Tantrum whilst throwing His/Her Toys(eg a couple of Inter-lsland ferries)out of the crib.

But overall and Luxon’s Weakling response to pulling David Seymour up indicates Luxon is ONLY interest in Luxon and giving the illusion of ‘being in power’.

Next he will be expecting a knighthood so he can Tally with his Beloved John Key on that matter.

  5. I live in Chch and cannot speak for other areas but I have friends in hospitality, building and tourism and they all say things are great..The reports in the paper are positive about exports and rhe coming year for most sectors. I predict the Coalition is on track Tobe returned next year.

    1. Who is Tobe? Returning next year?
Is he a builder, in hospitality or tourism? Either way you’re thick as pig shit given everyone and sundry know things are dire. Like that dumb bitch Willis you continue on spouting things getting better. You are embarrassing yourself ( as usual)The reality is opposite.

    2. I live in Christchurch, and my mates in construction, transport and retail tell me that money is tight, work is decreasing, and some are thinking of selling up if they can find someone like Trevor to purchase their business for an inflated price.

    3. Read Audry Young’s article in yesterdays Herald. The whole economic recovery is predicated on our dollar losing value against all other currency.
But we know what this does to cost of imports
