39 more killed and 317 wounded

Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile launches and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, have resulted in 39 dead and 317 wounded. The total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, has risen to at least 55,998 and the total wounded to at least 131,559. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 89 and, that of those injured, is more than 210. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

Nuclear-armed Zionism rules us — supported by Israel’s allies

In a briefing by the Head of the UN’s OCHA OPT, Jonathan Whittall warns that: “While the world’s attention is elsewhere, people in Gaza today are being killed trying to reach food. The attempt to survive is being met with a death sentence.”

Whittall tells us that as “military operations continue from the air and ground, there remains an abhorrent disregard for humanitarian law. People’s lives and dignity are under attack every day. Last month, the United Nations Relief Chief called on the Security Council to act decisively to prevent genocide in Gaza.”

As Whittall observes:

Israel is responsible for committing:

Weaponised hunger.

Forced displacement.

A death sentence for people just trying to survive.

The gradual erasure of Palestinian life from Gaza.

Israel has clear responsibilities as an Occupying power. The Head of the UN’s OCHA OPT appeals to the world: “We need to see accountability for the crimes committed; we need to see concrete political and economic pressure from states to bring this to an end; and we need to see a lasting ceasefire, in line with the rulings by the International Court of Justice.”

Instead of defending and enabling the processes of International Law, the United States, in obedience to Zionism, is now going far beyond simply arming Israel — it is now engaging directly in its war of supremacy.
