  1. The country spent about $26 billion (in todays money) on Muldoons Think Big projects in a soverign response to the 1978 oil crisis.

    The covid crisis cost $60 billion to save banks, landlords and businesses.

    A sovereign response to the Homuz Crisis – govt spend $50 billion for a $25,000 rooftop solar kit installed on all of NZs 2million homes. The home owners would then be extremely incentivised to switch to EVs.

  2. This is a very good article and makes a lot of good points. However, coal can be used to make petrol and diesel. Just ask the South African company SASOL.
