  1. Judith was a hopeless police minister with rising rates of violent crime, ,,, police officers falsifying crime stats ,,, and her boy racer ‘crusher laws’ were a huge flop ,,, seriously, a homeless alcoholic like wellingtons blanket man would have crushed more weight in empty piss cans than Judith ever managed in cars ,,,,

Judith also oversaw laws which protected and hid some of the worst gang of thieves criminal loot,…. “Revenue Minister Judith Collins said the drop in trust numbers was not surprising and it shouldn’t be assumed that was because many had been handling the proceeds of illegitimate activities. ” https://www.sarawakreport.org/2017/07/australia-and-new-zealand-slide-from-their-responsibilities-over-mass-corruption-and-malaysia/

Different strokes for different folks ,,,, A “chop shop” is one form of gang crime and revenue…

…I’d like to see all the receipts and paperwork related to the huge fortune of unknown origin sitting in this yard.

    1. Judeath and the word trust, no no no. Now she is lucky Jack Tame didn’t mention Merv another saga for the national party whom we are suppose to trust.

    2. More weight in empty piss cans — must remember that! How many cars got crushed, one I think?

  2. Judith Collins is just following the Chinese draconian model to stamp out “public dissension” and our freedom and democracy at the same time, after all she is married to a man who is linked to the Chinese communist party.

  3. No Ross it was not all there faults for turning to gangs it was also our governments fault whose institutes sexually and physically abused them when many were just boys. Is it any wonder we ended up with some of those you call ‘shit heads’. Then to add fuel to the fire the states racist and discriminative policies exacerbated the problem with prisons full of Maori being a main recruitment ground for gangs.

    1. Spot on !!
If we had a REAL fourth estate, not a propaganda media, they’d be making this point to her at EVERY opportunity.

  4. I’ve said in other posts that the two central principles that National adheres to and worships are:

    1. The politics of fear: Highlight a fear in society and blame someone for it. In this case the rise in crime and gangs is the fear and the blame, according to National, lies with the Labour-led Government. From what I understand this is the same political football that National trots out prior to every election ad nauseum. As some older people I listen to and respect say – this is so boring it has lost any impact it might have once had.

    2. Dirty Politics: No explanation needed here.

Now there is a third tenet. Conspiracy theories promoted by Collins and Brownlee to undermine Javinda but I guess this comes under the politics of fear.

Ross you make a good point suggesting what Collins should focus on – economic recovery. She has been mocking Jacinda over the Government’s focus on COVID but last week she said that next week, being this week, she would announce her party’s COVID policy. Obviously it won’t be the only policy but it will almost be their first policy on top of Collins saying that she has no tolerance for COVID in New Zealand. This latter comment is yet another typically snide dig at and part of National’s smear campaign against Labour in light of the recent managed isolation breaches and further outbreak in the community.

What the country is looking for and currently has is strong leadership, not only in dealing with the COVID situation in New Zealand but also in handling the economy. It won’t find that in Collins or the National Party.
