  1. If this does not put the lie to “the business does it better line” I’m not sure what will

    1. exactamundo- this happened in the UK with private watercare companies; now there is raw sewage all over the show!

  3. What would happen if any public directed service like police, education, health, etc was controlled by a law that directed all dividends went into the state accounts?

  4. This is really sad yet a great article.

Recently while getting a blood test the person taking my blood said they were leaving as the stress was too high. I asked them if the pay was worth it though – I was gob smacked in a frank discussion that she was getting less than my staff. Now I love my staff but they are not medical professionals & start on a general labouring rate of $27.19 per hour.

Practically minimum wage she was on – I still do not know how anyone in medical is not on at least a base rate of $40.00 per hour to start with even without a degree. We need these people for the direct health of NZ.

  5. I guess there is some competition Ian but what about compounding services? I don’t think many public hospitals in NZ do this anymore at all. I guess they have de risked their cold chain exposure to some degree but they pay a pretty penny to companies like Baxter.

  6. What the actual fuck? We just had a three year coercion campaign to get covid tested or die, and the millions New Zealand spent on this fantasy is going to Canadian teachers?
