  1. *govt to centralize water and allow neoliberal wellington and neoliberal iwi to make decisions on water instead elected local officals and taking away accountability and swiping hundreds of billions of dollars of assets councils and locals have built without reimbursement, ultimately ending up in a partial privatization of water by a future government.

    1. It is a long time ago that elected Councillors last made any decisions regarding the three waters. As for accountability, that went the way of the dodo once Council administrations took complete control and began contracting everything out to pseudo-privatised structures, that in turn contracted out to ever more bloated national companies. Government and Iwi may not be too hot but anything is better than the money-syphoning deal we have at present. By the way, we don’t hear too much about how the ratepayers, currently carry the financial can for the present structure while non-ratepayers have absolutely no accountability for the water they use or waste.

As for, “swiping hundreds of billions of dollars of assets councils and locals have built without reimbursement”, it would seem we are only facing a change of control of poorly performing assets that as citizens of New Zealand we own anyway.
