  1. While the world burns and floods these people engage in petty racisim .We will move to remove all of our culture and replace it with culture from other countries .But we will milk our Maori culture to attract 1 million tourists to come and deficate all around the motu .We are already pumping their sewage down the shot over river daily .We will not have a million coming to witness the great Diwalli festival which happens once a year but they do come to see the year round Maori sites and sounds .We even stoop so low as to cajge reference to our heritage from the passport .Maybe that is to please the 100k per year that flock here to get one so in three years they can move somewhere else their own passport does not allow .48% OF so called KIWIS who move to AUS were not born here .It is even noticeable when a crime is head lined in AUS as being committed and the offenders name is not Maori or pakeha .

  2. Why are potential left voters so out of touch and badly organized they cannot get registered to vote 12 days before an election. How valid can their vote be as they obviously not done any research . Those turning 18 can register when 17 so will not miss out.
Personally I do not understand why we need to change the passport especially if it costs money .

    1. Why do Act and National have to corrupt the MMP system and be deceitful about their donations to get voted in ?

Luxon on Tv1 Breakfast this morning lying that nobody in particular was responsible for the idea of swapping the positioning of the names on the passport…apparently it’s “just something we do”…WTF!!!

    2. Some Farkin dodgey stuff went on at Manurewa last minute to just get The Maori party candidate elected, there needs to be time for checks and balances which will also equal faster results afterwards.

  3. They can enroll to vote now. They have a further 18 months to enroll.
Stop making excuses for useless people.

    1. Don’t you realize shit happens in peoples lives, there are many many reasons for not being enrolled on time however it’s sad that democracy is dying in Aotearoa no matter which way you look

      1. Name the valid reasons that over the next 18months you cannot find time to register to vote the only one that springs to mind is too lazy.

  4. I love the way the government is concentrating on the really important aspects of race relations.
They are not wasting money on educating people in how the Treaty of Waitangi applies in modern Aotearoa, or trying to find out if there is racism in action by the police and criminal justice system, or why Tangata Maori and Pasifika are disproportionately affected by poverty, drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness or other social issues.
Instead they go for the real problem – the position of lettering on passports and road signs.

My elderly, Pakeha neighbour is angry at me because when we had a chat over the fence he told me how he does not like to use public transport.
‘But we have our goldcards,’ said I ” we can use it for free. It saves me a shitload of money.’
‘Yes,’ said he, ‘ but I don’t like hearing all that Maori stuff about where the bus or train will stop. It really irritates me’
“Dave, ‘ said I ‘ Do you have any problems in your life at present?”
‘Yes, my wife is in hospital dying of cancer. I am waiting for an operation on my prostrate – over a year now. My house has been flooded three times in five years and the Insurance Company is not going to cover me anymore. My son is out of work and has a drink problem.’
I suggested that listening to a bit of te reo is the least of his problems and he departed in a grump.

  5. I think most of you should read the article on Newsroom today about this subject.
It outlines the opinion of Judith Collins on this subject in great detail.
While I don’t particularly like the woman I have to say I agree totally with her this time.
Unfortunately she will not have the political clout to change this bill nor the moral integrity to cross the floor when this comes to a vote.

  6. Stupid olds koot bet he didn’t mind our soldiers going to war to save his white arrrrrse

  7. It’s nice to see ACT addressing the pertinent and pressing issues of the day… like rearranging the languages on the front of our passports. What a pathetic bunch of race-baiting sad-sacks they are, honestly. It’s going to be a bare-knuckle fight to the death with Winston for the enraged redneck vote at the next election. (Along with the anti-vax cookers and creepy gun fetishists.)

“Don’t make usss look at or lisssten to the Maaari wordsss! It hurtsss usss, Preciousss!”

It’s like these reactionary simpletons have forgotten which fucking country they live in.

    1. The “ drop kicks “ are just that, typical of Right Wingers who need government to tell them what to do. Bob troll a typical example.

  8. It’s just deflection, where’s the laser focus on “ the cost of living crisis” and the “squeezed middle”?
Perhaps Bob 1, Trevor etc enlighten us?

  9. “…is all National, ACT and NZF have now”

nah, they have recourse to gerrymandering, and they’ve already started.
