  1. Wiles has been the right balance of positive reinforcement and caution unlike some of the scientists who seem eternally pessimistic about everything connected to this pandemic.

I didn’t realise her other work which I can see is incredibly important.

I agree, her recognition is well derserved for all the right reasons.

  2. Thank you Dr Liz for this tribute to a wonderful NZer. Dr Siouxsie is one in a million, we have been blessed to have had her engaging informative descriptions of the virus and her work advising the government on the pandemic. Long may her work continue. Thank you Siouxsie for being you and being here when we needed you.

  3. She’s been one of my favourite regular guests on Catherine Ryan’s NatRad morning show for yonks. Her inherent enthusiasm and excitement when she talks about the things she knows and loves has an amazing effect on the listener. It makes it interesting so I listen carefully and have even been known to learn things from her.
I’m overjoyed that she’s received the official recognition she deserves and is reaching an even bigger audience. Thank goodness for New Zealand women. Still saving us after all these years.

  4. I vividly remember her saying CoVid-19 wasn’t a big deal live on Breakfast. So, yeah, deserves all the accolades…
