  1. Oh great.

Does this mean the system that transfers wealth from the poor to the ultra-rich will be abolished?

Does it mean the revolving door between high office in government and banks and corporations will stop revolving?

Does it mean the US will close its 100+ overseas bases and stop promoting neocolonialism via ‘regime change’?

Does it mean the Fed will stop creating money out of thin air to give to Wall Street for share by-backs that push markets to ever more extreme heights?

Does it mean the iron grip that banks and corporations have on who gets campaign funding will be released?

Does it mean the war on nature will be terminated?

Or does it mean more of the same loot-and-pollute and exploit-the-weak shit that has characerised the US for most of its existence?

Here’s looking at you, Federal Reserve–thanks for perfecting ‘legalized looting’ and neofeudalism in America.’

    1. Just how I feel AFKTT, today Martyn is in his triumphalism over Trumps demise proving a useful idiot for imperial America.

    2. Totally agree with your comment AFKTT, but still cannot understand how so many still support Trump and his cronies. Surely there can’t be that many morons in the USA?

      1. Think about how many morons there are in NZ, then multiply by 60. Now take that number and multiply by 10 because of the appallingly low level of education, and multiply the result by 10 because of the appallingly low level of information delivery and debate in US media…more-or-less pure ‘we’re-the-greatest’ propaganda.

Dumbed-down, stupid, lazy, greedy, overfed on low nutrition industrially-produced ‘food’ (and therefore obese) and with a highly-developed sense of entitlement.

That’s what 10 million barrels of low-cost oil per day for several decades does to a nation.

And with the oil patch in deep trouble after 160 years of sucking on the teat, it’s almost over.

    3. Previous versions of the USA have not been perfect, but they have been much more progressive that Trumpian America.

Does this mean the system that transfers wealth from the poor to the ultra-rich will be abolished?
Probably not abolished but it is likely to slow down.

Does it mean the revolving door between high office in government and banks and corporations will stop revolving?
Yes – this was pure Trumpism – despite the ‘draining the swamp’ rhetoric

Does it mean the US will close its 100+ overseas bases and stop promoting neo-colonialism via ‘regime change’?
No – but this may start to change in a positive way – e.g. some reduction and working toward more.

Does it mean the Fed will stop creating money out of thin air to give to Wall Street for share by-backs that push markets to ever more extreme heights?
      Unlikely

Does it mean the iron grip that banks and corporations have on who gets campaign funding will be released?
No – due to the nature of lobbying in US politics

Does it mean the war on nature will be terminated?
Maybe not terminated – but slowed – hopefully substantially, e.g. Biden has previously committed to rejoin the Paris Accord.

Or does it mean more of the same loot-and-pollute and exploit-the-weak shit that has characterised the US for most of its existence?
No – but a massive slow down of this is expected. Removing Trump won’t change everything that is bad about the US, but it will improve things massively from the anarchy of Trumpian times.

Can anyone tell me something Progressive that the Trump Regime ever did? Especially without being pressurised to do so.

  2. Trump the hypocritical president . Now Georgia has had a large dumping of votes for the Democrats it must be rigged. Thousands of Trump fanatics embrace Capitol hill and clash with police. But he describes them as peaceful protesters. Trump happy to have proud boys attend .

  3. Trumps legacy isn’t the only thing in tatters, America is in tatters. Anyway what is Trumpets legacy, his covid handling makes him one of the world’s worse leaders ever.

    1. Thank goodness for the “Budget Reconciliation” rules in the Senate which should kerb the worst excesses of Joe Biden’s so-called “progressive” hopes and dreams.

        1. Please! If there are 350,000 + deaths from Covid-19 in 2020 and there were 0 in 2019,basic maths tells us there will be an excess of 350,000 + deaths for the year ending 2020.

There may have been less deaths by other causes but trying to rationalize covid death numbers when the bare minimum was attempted to mitigate the amount of deaths by a deranged president is incomprehensible.

      1. So very true Richard…
        Trumps latest…

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20,” Trump said in a statement after Congress certified his loss. “I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again.”

“The facts bear me out” and “greatest first term in presidential history”… someone send in the psychiatrist.
