David Seymour says the ACT Party wants to win the “cultural argument” for free markets, deregulation, and entrepreneurship over the “whingers” who “see every problem through the lens of blame”.
Let me get this straight.
After a 6 month race baiting hate tour that literally ripped the fabric of the country apart needlessly, David is rebranding as a Free Market Well Being Influencer?

What Seymour is truly attempting to signal is a move out of culture war grievances (Winston is owning those now) into Free Market Theology because those ACT supporters who backed the cross burning tour are appreciating how getting painted out as naked rednecks is damaging their cross over appeal to the middle right voters they need too consolidate their current power base.
Free Market Aspirational posters are needed so ACT supporters can take off the Klan whites and slip into some libertarian casual Fridays attire so as not not spook the National Party voters they are trying to woo.

In his spiel Seymour lists National Party leaders who:

WELL OF COURSE NOT! Decent wages, good public health, affordable housing, full employment and an excellent education system – all these things were popular with voters and National politicians knew it.

The best example of state socialism winning over National is when then Party leader George Forbes was asked what criticisms could be made of Labour’s state housing programme.
