  1. My experience is the amount of Indian doctors whose english I can’t understand, goodness knows how those suffering with mental illness manage to have to deal with those doctors whose english is their second language. Many times I have had to act as an interpreter.

  2. its not just the indian doctors some of those doctors coming from european countries have no peoples skills. although I have had a run in with an indian doctors she starting telling me of and I said to her I have never met you before you do not even know me and she soon shut up

  3. Thank you Dave, and thank you for the good work you are doing.

I think most folk are aware that our health system is creaking after years of under-funding, and that the inadequacies of mental health systems in particular, have led to some tragic outcomes, including the loss of life of so many young men who never had the chance to fulfill themselves, and to enrich their own and others’ lives – and just to be.

Politicians may be the worst possible people to carry any responsibility here, so it is quite important that we do speak out, and if necessary raise our voices to be heard, and actually act. Kia kaha.

  4. I was misdiagnosed and given drugs that made my life he’ll for 6 months. I’m lucky to be alive. The two psychiatrists and psychologist were incompetent. I stopped taking the drugs and came right just about immediately. I felt suicidal, and couldn’t function the whole time I was sedated. I’m amazed how easily they dished out powerful drugs without spending any time to diagnose what the cause of the problem. It seems so obvious to me now that the drugs were the problem. These clowns should have figured that out rather than dishing out more. I’m sure there are many others that are suffering needlessly because of incompetence.
