Shooting gang members is not a solution.
We may like to think we are rational beings but, ironically, the idea that we are creatures of reason is, in itself, a belief statement .
In my previous essay I had suggested that the government needed a plan to deal with a community outbreak. The government have pretty much followed that plan. But now WE need to have a plan too.
On the same podium at the same time was Leader of the Opposition Judith Collins who, when subsequently interviewed by Kim Hill about Brownlee’s conspiracy insinuation, threw him under a bus.
In spite of Collins saying she will not do a deal with NZ First; to make doubly sure she gets a delayed election; will she offer Shane Jones Northland – if NZ First votes with National to defeat Labour and extend the current session?
The whole world, every country on every continent, is preoccupied with taking desperate steps to protect their own people from Covid-19, is preoccupied with worries about how their societies can recover in a way that is fair and just. Thus, the Israeli regime is able to, not just continue its policies of dispossessing Palestinians, but also take measures to prevent Palestinians from protecting themselves from Covid-19.

Just like last time there’s no need to rush the stores there’s enough food for everyone and it just causes a massive problem for the logistics people running the supermarkets if they get inundated with people.
We are at war. To win this war we need a plan.
So.. if you’ve got lots and lots of money then you are one of the ‘right ‘ people to enter our country and local ‘entrepreneurs’ are rubbing their hands at the prospect of making money by marketing our Covid-19 free status to wealthy overseas migrants and visitors.
