  1. All countries, including Israel, have the right to defend their people from invaders.

Hypocrisy! Gazans are demanding that they be allowed into Israel, but refuse to allow Jews to return to Gaza. Jews lived in Gaza for centuries until racist Palestinians ethnically cleansed Gaza of its Jews in 1929.

    1. Yeah, playing the old blame game now, right?

Might is right, that is how Israel and the US operate in the Mid East and elsewhere, and the Palestinians are at times treated like the forefathers of some Zionists were treated by the Nazis (discriminated against, leading to genocide during the war years).

    2. Thats an interesting set of lies Jack. I got one for you about magic beans, a beanstalk, and an overly aggro giant. You should have a bit in common with the main character, same first name an all.

In short you are a fantasist for zionist agression against Palestinians. Crying “oh whoa me!” Makes you look pathetic

Palestine will be free. History will sweep away your corrupt regime

Have a fucking not nice day

  2. “The world still awaits clear statements and action from the New Zealand Government, specifically aimed at calling Israel to account. Generalised support for rules-based agreements will not suffice so long as the silence regarding Israel’s violations of international humanitarian law continues.”

Yes, in short: Talk is cheap.

But in the face of realpolitik Jacinda and her government, with Israel friendly Winston in the deputy role, will hardly want a fight with mighty USA, whether governed by one Orang Utan that thinks he is human, or governed by another one serving their Deep State.

  3. The only solution is to pull ordinary Israeli citizens out of their mental time capsule and convince them they are better off with living in one united country peacefully with the Palestinians there are.

Sadly I cannot see that happen, as the agents of fear have a grip on the majority of Israelis, Zionist or not.

  4. “António Guterres referred in his speech to “seven challenges”, one of which was that “Palestinians and Israelis are still locked in endless conflict,…”

It’s not a ‘conflict’. A ‘conflict’ is between two armed factions. Israel has one of the most powerful military forces in the world. It uses Gaza to test its latest weaponry, which it can then sell on the world market to thuggish regimes like Myanmar, Hungary, The Philippines… The Palestinians have no army, navy, air force, no drones, no tanks etc Israel’s treatment of the Gazans, including regularly poisoning farms, attacking fishing boats, destroying medical centres, murdering medics, journalists, children..is so vicious that Chomsky uses the one word, ‘sadism’. The drinking water is unfit for human consumption. Commentators have used phrases such as ‘genocide in slow motion’ and ‘incremental genocide.’

As for Jack Green’s remarks, it’s Israel that won’t allow Israelis to even VISIT Gaza, very frustrating for truth-telling reporters such as Gideon Levy. The Gazans demonstrating weekly aren’t invaders, they are people who want to go home. I don’t know where Jack sources his information . A historian I recommended is Israeli-born, Ilan Pappé. A website I recommend is mondoweiss.net

As Palestinian sympathizers say, STAY HUMAN

  5. I’ve been reading this same story for the past 30 years. It’s like ground hog day.

  6. Lets try a mind experiment. In trying to stop unarmed migrants from “Invading Europe” via their Ceuta enclave in North Africa, Spain stations snipers on their side of the fence who pick off the migrants as they approach the fence. The snipers also specifically target medical teams who try and help the wounded and journalists trying to report on their actions.

Does anyone think this is an appropriate response? If not do you think this is an appropriate response in Gaza?
