  1. ‘my near zero interest in most male sport’

Congratulations. Corporatised sport is an important component of the control system.

‘This is honestly only the second time I’ve even read the standard in 18months’

I gave up The Standard when they resorted to censorship to defend the indefensible. That must have been about a decade ago. The Labour Party and it’s supporters sure know how to turn people off.

    1. They turfed me out for, as WEKA said, my comments are nonsense. I countered with Trotters Blog about the CIA being in what appears to be civil war, saying, ‘this from Chris Trotter has more meaning in it than the entire TS servers can process.’ She lost her shit after that.

        1. I wish them safe travels. my concern is in there pursuit of state powers they will fall on drastic measures to execute there dramatics

  2. The Standard is dominated by boorish egomaniacs and thus is nothing more than a popular hunting spot for right wing trolls. “Voice of the Labour Movement” – yeah right.

  3. I got banned from the Standard too….for calling Hillary Clinton a “mad woman”…apparently this was sexist

….so I tried to reply “Is it sexist to call a man a mad man?”( there is a tv series of this name ie Madmen …and it is fantastic)

    ….( but I couldn’t reply because I was banned )

I was also amongst the lot that tried to defend Julian Assange…and for our trouble we were called “rape apologists” …it felt like a gang …. assault

( this caused a ‘walk out’ of the Julian Assange defenders and others and a digital picketline countdown led by Parsupial and supported by me counting down..we got criticised for this ( I didnt walk out, mainly because I wanted to see what would happen next and I had an addiction to the bloody old Standard…but I did see the writing on the wall for me and my politics…and I noted people like Murray Olsen,an astute and pithy commentator and also an Assange defender, did not come back much at all)

In fact many good people have been banned from The Standard and not come back…pity that!

Later I did walk off for a week to support Colonial Viper who had been banned for a week…I considered he had been bullied ….from then on I was a marked Chook…SQUAWK!

Question :…are these sites a waste of time?

    1. They where just trying to steal your ideas away from you. That’s normal in an environment that has no moral compass, just bathing in the magnificence of the Labour Party. These flatterers of the court where close to a greate leader (Clark) but Clark is still trying to micro manage Labour from the UN (not the same)

Some one from Labour has to front the cameras and say this is where we said we would be 30 years ago, this is where we are now. And carry on to say if we are to stabilise wages to where Labour from 30 years ago wanted, we need to do this. And by this I mean bankers.

  4. Someone at The Standard uses the pseudonym REDFED.
She or he must be thick not to see the irony.
The Red Fed and EPMU as it was in 2010 could not be more different.
The Red Fed was not limited by a pro-capitalist bureaucracy who were committed to work within the labour law.
Strikes, pickets and Federation-wide solidarity were their answer to the law.
It took scabs, cops and ultimately the army to smash the RedFeds in 1913.
All it takes to smash the miners today is a weak, compliant union leadership.
Its a case of the Red Fed vs the Dead Fed.

    1. i just dont see how we could have improved wages when it is central bank policy accross the world to make labour unstable through interest rate manipulation. the government said they wouldnt interfere in central bank policy. now we have a guy in Trump interfering in central bank policy and the reaction isnt to it isnt in keeping with any union charter or wage earners best interest.

this is just one example of Henry Kissinger’s conceptual traps. i dont know if they where thought up in think tanks, by that i mean people payed by makers of tanks. butt kissass did make them famous through banana republics.

guess we just have to keep speaking truth to power until we make some one wiser than us and can emerge out of the rabal and lead proper
