  1. First the asian invasion next the aussie invasion .As he did in covid early days Winston will be calling on them to hurry up before the border is closed .

  2. The huge central area of Australia as TDB has previously said is basically a “burnt out sand pit”, non indigenous people in Oz cling to the coastal fringe, there is enough room to keep doing that, but the coast will come under rising sea level pressure too.

  3. I would welcome Aussies because the alternative is much worse. The estimate is over 2 million undocumented migrants have entered the USA each year for the last 4 years. If true, on a population basis that would equal over 32,000 boat people every year landing on our beaches and walking to the nearest town.
The often mentioned Fortress Aotearoa could well become a necessity in the future.
By the way, check out Haiti. That is what the end of the world is going to look like.

    1. yes we will have aussie boat people to deport back but more like 300k a year then there are all the kiwis that fled over the last 40 years that will expect special treatment as they did during covid .

  4. Doesn’t look too good for the interior. 40C+ is just damn hot. But more than likely quite the norm
and besides who’d live there. Some do for sure. But 30C+ on the eastern seaboard, higher inland, high density population, black rooves, bush country a bit more west, nah, not for me. I like it toasty but not that toasty. The Shakey Isle aside, Margaret River is where I’d be moving. Or Tasmania.

  5. At the same time oil drilling licenses have grown by 40 percent including Norway EV sales are dropping and car companies are reversing calls to cut fossil powered cars.
I will buy more shares in ice cream companies.

    1. Hopefully you mean a vegan ice cream company, dairy cows don’t like hot weather, public opinion is slowly turning against the dairy industry and disease is going to decimate the animal products industry at some stage.

  6. We need to start a group that thinks about how to live in the future, does what it can with the present system, but look to an esprit de corps with each other – people compatible, not rigidly classist or racist, skilled manually and with problem-solving, and regular talk about philosophy (ways of thinking and understanding the world we have created and the surprising things about human intellect and behaviour). Oh yes and being KINDLY AND PRACTICAL together.

Can we have a special regular grouping labelled Future Moves and we put up useful stuff that is in the archives as usual?

Some starters around hot climate change. How you could be:
