Normally I go to Wellington about once every two months, but I haven’t been all this year and I think I’ve missed something because Wellington seems to have become a very, very, very damaged city in a very short period of time.

Better Wellington deletes post comparing Green councillor to Charlie Kirk’s alleged murderer
A social media post by a group affiliated with Wellington mayoral candidate Ray Chung has labelled a Wellington City councillor “one of the mental, extreme communist trans-loving … Green Party retards”.
The now-deleted post by political campaign group Better Wellington took aim at current councillor Rebecca Matthews.
“Message to voters in Onslow-Western ward,” the post said. “It’s time to throw out the Trash!”
It continued, saying Matthews “used to be a socialist Labour Party appointee and is now one of the mental, extreme communist trans-loving (like the guy who shot Charlie Kirk) Green Party retards”.
The statement finished by saying: “Throw this grift monkey to the wind and evict her from council.”
…Jesus fucking wept!

This follows the obscene release of Ray Chung’s false allegations of Tory Whanau having sex parties!
What is wrong with these people?
I know Rebecca all the way back to my Uni days, and I am in no way shape or form a fan of hers, but even as someone who doesn’t like her, the extreme comments an organisation actually participating in the local elections would make like this are ugly and sickening.
Look, you want to be a blogger or Social Media Influencer arsehole, you do you, but if you are actively engaging in the democratic process and are calling your opponents, “mental, extreme communist trans-loving Green Party retards”, what planet are you on?
Remember – Ray Chung continues to actually poll associating with this kind of vileness.
Wellington was always very ‘Wellington’ if you know what I mean, but “mental, extreme communist trans-loving Green Party retards” is a level of toxicity that I hadn’t appreciated before.
If Ray actually polls 10% with this kind of rhetoric something has gone terribly wrong with local democracy.

What is wrong with NZ is the question .Why are these people allowed to just spout hatred daily ?and why does it quickly become fact or truth somehow ?.Why are we so desperate to destroy the lives of people who are prepared to put their hand up and do the hard yards on council for their community .I am sure there are a lot of would be great people sitting at home right now thinking they have dodged a bullet or two by not jumping into the sespit .
Mind you this type of behaviour started with the so called leaders of the current GOVERNMENT prior to the last election and has continued full force since .A fish rots from the head down is clearly what is happening to NZ right now and we only have to look at the USA to see the massive damage it causes .Is this really the NZ we want for our children and thier children ,?
What’s wrong with these people? They are incredibly insecure and probably about half the time are projecting their own fantasies as someone else’s situation. Just like the conservative Tory party folk who stick their privates in pigs heads and get whipped senseless by some dominatrix while claiming to be their version of model citizens. Chung is not the sort of person Wellington needs for a mayor he is nasty little man.
What is wrong with Wellington Council? Too close to the antisocial and conniving mafia that has got established on the Hill. The toxic gases flow down, spread and suffocate most wise public goodness in the city. Just a few left gagging and struggling to keep buoyant.
Well at least not going to Wellington every two months is cutting down your carbon footprint. You should feel good about that.
Take a look into the people behind Better Wellington. A cursory glance is enough to tell you that Wellington absolutely won’t be better if Ray Chung gets anywhere near the levers of power. They’re a sorry collection of trolls and schemers, and they seem quite happy to hurl invective at anyone with whom they disagree.
