  1. Some valid points regarding the animals in the chutes being distressed. With better design, some of that distress could be mitigated. One point I would like to raise, in that I disagree that rodeo teaches children violence towards animals – more so, the increasing trend with rental properties not allowing pets – we are raising a generation of children with no empathy toward animals because they are not exposed to them at a young age. Bonds for damages are just that and with an introduction of special pet bonds, renters should be able to introduce a cat or an outside dog to their children to teach empathy and help reduce the narcissistic type behaviour seen so much more often these days, along with an uncaring attitude toward animals and other humans that results. Cowboys teach respect to the younger generation through high personal morals at least.
