No Frank the party leadership did not allow the overspend, they didn’t know about it. Once they were informed by the parliamentary oversight authority they sprung into action. The question is how did the parliamentary oversight committee lose oversight over Mariameno’s spending, and overspending? Pretty shameful looking on the outside.
