1. Guess its okay to post this here ?

   ‘They’ are saying there have been large Carbon Monoxide and Carbon Dioxide releases observed prior to some earthquakes in the past.
   On the 27th for about 3-5 hours the COsc over Christchurch was hitting 721 ppbv (whatever that is ?) while most of NZ was @ 50 ppbv. Then they had that +4 quake

   Last night there was a bigger ‘release’.
   10pm the COsc was @ 41ppbv
   1am – 424 ppbv,

   The COsc hit over 5,000 ppbv over most of Southern California, a few days ago.

   On February 25 between 16:00 and 19:00 there appeared to be a rupture of the major faultlines on the West Coast of the US. The gases CO, CO2 and SO2 were measured to skyrocket, stay very high (indicating ongoing emissions) for at least 18 hours and then slowly dissipate. The spatial pattern of the emissions followed the “tuning fork” pattern of the major faultlines.

   1. Good environmental reporting there Robert.

      There was a documentary on RT last year that traced the large earthquakes and high CO2,CO, SO2 emission’s directly to regions where gas and oil extraction has been elevated using the fracking method.

      This destabilizing of the earths surface using fracturing in this process using explosive chemicals to release the gases and oil comes with costs we can reasonably assume.

   “To make those changes we need to be at the heart of an alliance for change with left-of-center and progressive parties and movements across Europe,” he said.

   “Labour is making allies for real reform in Europe with the Party of European Socialists and other European parties across the broad left, while the Tories are isolating themselves.”….

4. In regards to Act’s David Seymour arguing that ACT is more Green than the Green Party, I don’t know that anyone has looked deeply at his comment that there should be more private business involvement in the administration of the conservation estate.

   “It’s unclear exactly what that will include, but is expected to centre on Government incentives to increase private environmental custodianship, and moves to better define ownership.”

   I think this should be linked into what is happening in the United States where the Koch brothers (and others?) are actively funding groups like the Bundys who recently took over a nature reserve with the aim of privatising the conservation estate in the United States,

   1. very disturbing…appropriation of the Natural Environment ….the Green Party should be making this a BIG ISSUE

      as Maori donated a lot of land to the New Zealand people for National Parks and the the conservation estate for safe keeping in perpetuity …and as well many Pakeha have donated land…this should not be taken by the neolib robbers and vandals whose vulgar god is their bank accounts …and who will eventually regard it as their private property for personal wealth and selling off

      ACT people have absolutely no concern for the intrinsic values of nature …they represent BIG Business and multinational USA corporations

   2. Yes the Global elitists want their holiday homes built on any available sparsely CLEAN UNADLTERATED Land in stable countries as ours.

      And David Seymour sees a big windfall in this money spinner as a facilitator of private ownership of the conservation estate for their use and not ours, while making big money for his services for it.

      He was probably set up to do this of course.

   3. i wonder if the same ACT affiliated PR lobby group that has for years quietly promoted Charter Schools to the Ministry of Education is also behind this new initiative?….if so then it directly represents the interests of big business corporations in the USA…

      Maori and all Green and environmental people in New Zealand should be very alarmed and worried about this new attempt to commodify and privatise New Zealand’s state owned natural environmental assets

      This is an issue for all Maori tribes, iwi and the Treaty of Waitangi as well as the Greens and environmentalists
