Since dawn, Israeli live ammunition and shelling from tanks, have killed 93 more residents and injured 6 others. The total number recorded killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, is now at least 71,455; the total wounded is now at least 171,347. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 85 and, that of those injured, is more than 205. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
UN chief warns he could refer Israel to ICJ over laws targeting UNRWA
In October 2024, Israel passed a law banning the agency for Palestinian refugees in Israel and Occupied East Jerusalem. Israel has long sought the dissolution of UNRWA, which was created by the UN General Assembly in 1949, following the war surrounding the founding of Israel. It has since provided aid, health and education to millions of Palestinians in Gaza, the Occupied West Bank, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. Read more . . .
West Bank
Since 24:00 on 7 October 2023, Israeli Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure of the West Bank, preventing residents and other permit-holders from neither entering nor leaving. The Israeli military also imposes severe and highly variable travel restrictions on all residents.
Israeli settler attack – 8 homes set on fire – violence, injury and hospitalisations: Jerusalem – 22:20, Israeli Occupation settlers, firing live ammunition, stormed the Al-Sidra Bedouin community, near the village of Mikhmas, attacking homes and setting fire to eightdwellings, as well as to two motor vehicles. The settlers beat–up a woman, Aida Ayed Al-Adra, and a man, Youssef Muhammad Salem Zawa’ra, as well as assaulting and hospitalising two foreign solidarity activists.
Israeli Army attack: Jenin – Israeli forces, firing live ammunition, continued to storm the city as well as the refugee camp.
Israeli Army attack – 1 child wounded: Qalqiliya – 01:25-07:25, the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition, wounded a child while storming the city.
Israeli settler attack: Hebron – 18:10, Israeli Occupation settlers opened fire on a herd of camels, in Masafer Yatta, and vandalised property.
Home invasions and Occupation – refugee camps: Tulkarem – Since January 28, Israeli Occupation forces have continued their incursions into the city, as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, Occupying homes for use as military outposts.
Occupation settler agricultural sabotage: Ramallah – 08:25, Israeli Occupation settlers grazed their sheep, ruining crops on agricultural land, near homes in the town of Sinjil.
Occupation settler agricultural sabotage: Ramallah – 09:35, Occupation settlers grazed their sheep on agricultural land, on the eastern plain of Al-Mughayir village.

Occupation settler terrorism and Israeli Army complicity: Hebron – 11:15, Occupation settlers, supported by Israeli forces firing stun grenades and tear gas canisters, invaded the Huwara area of Masafer Yatta and terrorised residents. One person, Issa Ali Atiyat, was beaten up and taken, unconscious, to hospital. Several other residents were taken prisoner.
