I think NZ is a liberal progressive secular Democracy where Freedom of Religion is a value.
If you want to believe in a magical invisible flying wizard (or blue Elephant), knock yourself out, you be you.
If the Sikh’s want a parade, good for them, welcome to the Community. If Destiny wants to counter protest that however, they actually require some legitimate complaint which they don’t actually have.
There is no legitimate reason to counter protest the Sikh community OTHER THAN bigotry.
In his desperation, Bishop Brian is embracing militant tactics that are attempting to spark actual violence between religious groups who can be goaded into retaliation.
Beating up librarians and drag queens who can’t fight back doesn’t make for a recruitment drive. Other religious groups retaliating to Destiny Church provocation however does drive recruitment AND narrative.
It is essential that those religions he is harassing respond with mute protest and non-violence. Don’t give this cretin one single example to misappropriate.
