When will voters realise that silly old codgers like the demented Trump and Winston are no longer the people to vote for! It’s time for an age limit to be placed on MP’s, especially those with power. Hence they forget recent important events, conversations and fine details. Time for both Trump and Winston to retire gracefully. For Winston to be belatedly claiming he believes “there is a chance to turn this country around” is beyond a joke. He has done nothing but kowtow to the USA and play the CoC-up game so far too late. He knows This is just Winston being the oportunist he has always been, setting up his skittles for whoever will do a post-election deal with him.
What’s more important to Winston is what happens after the election. After being handed his favourite baubles of office, his racing and foreign affairs portfolios, from whichever party gifts them to him in exchange for confidence and supply, Winston will settle back into his routine of attending glittering functions at the Epsom Showgrounds. and jetting around the world 1st class.
Before the election of the Clark Labour government, Winston Peters ran a vicious and racist election campaign against Chinese immigrants and China itself. On being gifted the foreign affairs portfolio by Helen Clark, Winston Peters slipped into the background while Helen Clark negotiated a free trade deal with the Chinese regime. At the same time Clark was in Beijing engaging in trade negotiations, Chinese troops were shooting down peaceful protesters in Tibet en mass. Back home in New Zealand not a peep from Winston Peters.
