The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 87 and, that of those injured, is more than 208. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
UN OCHA: Humanitarian Situation Update #352
The Inter-Agency Standing Committee and Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General urged the Israeli authorities to revoke their plan to suspend the operations of many international non-governmental organisations working in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
On 31 December 2025, the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) urged the Israeli authorities to revoke their plan to ban many of the international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) operating in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT), noting that they collectively deliver close to US$1 billion in assistance each year. The Committee emphasised: “Humanitarian access is not optional, conditional or political.” Calling for this measure to be reversed, Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General underscored that, pursuant to its obligations under international humanitarian law, Israel must allow and facilitate rapid and unimpeded passage of humanitarian relief for all civilians in need and reiterated that all humanitarian partners must be able to operate safely and in line with humanitarian principles.

Israeli Army attack – home invasions: Ramallah – 11:40, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, stormed the town of Birzeit and invaded the Birzeit University campus, wounding seven students and suffocating six others with tear gas. Those wounded are: Muhammad Ziad Hamed, Muhammad Awad Muhammad Awad, Saleh Faed Musa, Abdul Rahman Alawi, Aboud Nihad Alawi, Layal Jihad Al-Aisa and Muhammad Jihad Al-Aisa.
