My Foreign policy predictions for 2026
2026 will see some truely bizarre bullshit coming out from our two major parties as they tie themselves into knots trying to justify the New Zealand Defence Force, NZDF’s, continued alliance with the United States Department of War, DoW.
Prediction1/ ANZUKUS
Both Labour and National continue to support NZ joining the AUKUS nuclear pact.
Prediction 2/ US, NZ, Israel, military alliance
Both Labour and National will agree to send the NZDF to train beside the DoW and IDF in RIMPAC 2026.
Prediction 3/ Genocide Denial
Both Labour and National will continue to deny that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza so as to avoid their legal responsibility to the genocide convention.
Prediction 4/ Which Bloc?
Labour and National initially disagree on which power bloc to support, the US or the EU, before finally coming to agreement, and both siding with the US against Europe.

Iin 2026 as the world slides closer to WWIII our media will give both major mainstream parties a pass card on matters of foreign policy, especially on matters of New Zealand’s military involvment in foreign wars. Anti-war parties Green and TPM neutrality policy will be dismissed as being ‘Fringe’, ‘Loony Left’, ‘isolationist’, ‘unrealistic’.
As the mainstream media beat the war drums louder, the ZB media will come in behind to attack the antiwar parties as ‘commies’ ‘cowards’ and ‘traitors’.
Summary:
NZ will continue its long support of the US against its rivals the EU and China
Voters will have to choose to vote for one of the two small anti-war parties, (Green or TPM) or for what the two major parties will promise them in a package deal for a military alignment that binds us to a lawless bloodthirsty super power, which sooner or later will be calling on NZ to provide cannon fodder for its next major imperial adventure.
