Comrades
Itโs been a hell of a year.
Despite the hacks that knocked us off line this year, despite the threats from the Atlas Network against us, despite the rest of the media world collapsing, TDB is still here!
We had 7.5million page views this year, we are easily the largest Left Wing Politics Blog in NZ and we resuscitated The Working Group as The Bradbury Group after the Right cancelled The Working Group because The Daily Blog refused to stop being critical of Israel and the links between the NZ Initiative and the hard right.
The Bradbury Group has gone on to gain 3 times the audience The Working Group had.
Itโs the end of the year, the team here are buggered and before we take a break we ask you for our annual Christmas/Summer Contribution drive.
We last called for donations in August ย because we know how tough it is out there for everybody, but as we go on our annual summer break, we are passing the hat around.
Unlike most media, TDB does not get any money from NZ on Air.
We have given a better insight and oversight to the political machinations and political cultural trends than anyone else in the NZ blogging spectrum.
Donโt contribute to us because you agree with us, contribute because you see the importance of having an independent voice in NZ media.
We are critical of the Right AND the Left.
Next year we are launching the first major redesign of the Blog since its creation 14 years ago in time for the Election so that TDB remains an essential resource for the wider Left as we gear up to defeat this terrible Government.
If you value having an independent news voice andย are in a position to contribute โ please do so here.

Martyn – I wish you had been honoured by the New Year Honour List for services to journalism/community…You have been one of the few voices trying to challenge the main-stream media.
Nathan
Yes he should but surely he wouldn’t accept as marxists do not believe in the knighthood system. In the same way Ex PM Ardern made a principled stand by refusing her royal honours.
Dame Jacinda?
Bradbury would be principled whether he accepted Honours or not. And either choice would be reasonable and arguable. There are two or more ways of looking at everything these days of quantum science. Rigidity can be a big mistake, it’s knowing when to bend a little while having strength behind for firmness of purpose that is good. People like Winston Peters utilise this approach but he’s become a flabby artisan and tends to excess.
