Marjorie Taylor Greene and MAGA fading – it was never America First, it was always Trump First

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s exit shows Trump still rules the GOP, but it’s a warning he shouldn’t ignore

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s shock announcement of her exit from the House of Representatives after a feud with Donald Trump shows the president still has power to punish challenges to his authority in the Republican Party.

But if his quest for total loyalty means Trump ignores the substance behind the complaints of the Georgia representative who was once one of his fiercest supporters, then he will lead his party down a risky road.

Greene on Sunday pushed back against reports that her departure from Congress in January is the precursor to a run for president in 2028, insisting in a lengthy post on X that she was “not motivated by power and titles.”

Trump understands the political power of resentment better than almost any politician alive. All those years of having the other New York Billionaires look down on him honed an instinct that he has exploited over and over again.

When the middle class woke identity activists on the Left felt they held cultural power on social media between 2014-2020, they launched purges and cancel culture Lynch mobs with pure temple zeal that simply drove men into the arms of the reactionary right.

Trump played to those cultural sneers and worked the resentment of the working classes to identity with himself as an outsider.

The total victory by Trump was a political and cultural devastation for the Democrats.

His brand of Orange Fascism has used the UNDERmensch to empower the UBERmensch.

History doesn’t repeat but it rhymes and right now Trump’s nickname should be Bitler.

America was always a Military Industrial Complex death machine but now Trump’s United States of Wounded Masculinity has elected a naked Plutocracy.

It has become increasingly apparent that Trump’s win was based on Late Stage Capitalism and Social Media Hate Algorithms while Kamala lost it because of Identity Politics.

Trump inherited an amazing economy thanks to Obama. He squandered that over Covid and ended up simply giving the very rich enormous tax cuts, and it was the sugar high of those Tax Cuts that the poor remember.

America is so freakishly free market hollow that there are no safety nets, instead of a functioning Welfare State, the American Military Industrial Complex subsidies petrol and manufactured mass food.

Our petrol prices are twice that of Americans, can you imagine the freak out if Americans had to pay our prices?

When Covid hit and strangled supply chains, inflation exploded. THAT is what Americans remember.

It Was Always About Inflation

Simply put, Donald Trump owes his reelection to inflation and to the fact that the Biden administration did little to address the problem in a way that helped working-class families.

In real terms wages in America have not gone up in 30 years!

Because the Left refused to rebuild after Covid to acknowledge the universal sacrifice all had made, the Left just rebuilt the old inequalities and because so many Americans live in poverty, that burnt them twice as bad.

There are 650 000 homeless Americans, 120 000 of those are kids, 40% of the entire country lives month to month knowing 1 financial crisis will make them homeless.

When those people in need turn to the Left, what are we fixated with? Identity Politic hierarchy and the appropriate virtue signal dogma.

No poor people are sitting around the kitchen table cancelling each other for pronouns.

They are trying to pay the Bills.

With the loss of Marjorie Taylor Greene, what MAGA are slowly realising is that Trump isn’t really promoting America First, he is promoting Trump First.

The cost of living crisis, affordability, the rising cost of health care, the huge tax cuts he gave to the wealthiest American’s at the cost of basic public service provision have all impacted the MAGA rump and it’s difficult to eat your hate of trans people or the woke.

Trump has collapsed to a  38% approval rating which is far lower than other comparable second term Presidents and it’s occurring because he hasn’t handled the Economy well at all.

Those working classes who voted for him because they were desperate are even more desperate and what Greens represents are those voters, she doesn’t;t have the wealth other Republicans have, she lives closer to those voters economically and she can see and feel the economic damage occurring.

Trump has always put himself first and America second, MAGA are only waking up to that now.
