David Seymour says Winston Peters siding with Labour on Regulatory Standards Bill

ACT leader David Seymour says NZ First leader Winston Peters is siding with the Labour Party – and “getting ready to go” with them – following Peters’ statement that he intends to campaign on repealing Seymour’s controversial Regulatory Standards Bill.

On Thursday, Peters said he was opposed to the legislation that only became law two days ago, and would campaign against it ahead of next year’s election.

…so what is actually happening here?

NZF’s redneck knuckle dragging Anti-Vaxx/Ant-Trans voting block have only just realised what the hell the RSB actually does.

Look, these people screamed for NZF to pull NZ out of the WHO because it was a shadowy trans national agent for Global Pharmaceutical Interests, imagine what they did when they realised that the RSB created a board stacked with corporate interests inside Parliament to vet all laws for their benefit.

For the anti vaccine and anti trans block inside NZF this is akin to being told they have to change their pronouns while being forcibly injected with the ‘flu’ vaccine.

For NZFirst, the RSB is their Epstein Files.

For MAGA, the Epstein Files are an existential issue.

For NZF voters, keeping pharmaceutical corporations away from them is a red line that can not be crossed.

Winston is suddenly u-turning 2 days after voting for it because his own rump support base have turned their pitchforks and burning torches on him.

This schizophrenic tactic happens the day after Winston was caught out obviously falsifying the real cost of the replacement Ferry’s.

It is desperate and reeks of fear.

How ugly.

  1. Winston should have raised his middle finger and told Luxon to rotate on it and voted the bill down at the first reading instead of wasting time and money .Semour may have had a tantrum but would not risk his high pay rate and sink the coalition .Winston needs to at least do one thing for NZ before he goes because he has done fuck all in the last 50 years except clip the ticket .

  2. When it comes to Winston Peters One Does Tend to Ponder as to is he really a Truly Sane Thinking Individual Anymore???!!!

Peters is like Pendulum in that he will Swing This Way or the Other but it’s often in accordance to his mood at the time and his behaviour. And whenever someone asks him a difficult question and due to his irrational behaviour he will fly off the handle and throw Blame Games and Insults because in a Bullying Nature It makes him Think he Comes across as Clever or Smart.

He is in fact coming across as irrational in insolent.

Now back in 1996 my parents and I were impressed with Winston Peter. He came across as this “Breakaway” MP who ‘distanced’ himself from National. He swore to never enter into a Coalition government government with National in the lead up to the 1996 election.

Now 29 years on I still wouldn’t trust Winton Peters. He is what one would call an Opportunitics and Self-serving and still Closely Linked to National MP. He is one many should call a Trougher.

But one thing comes across very well now is when caught in a Corner of His Own Making and when asked Questions that are Now Beyond his ability to answer in a credible or logical manner her resort to Insults and Blame Games to Evade answering questions.

It’s almost as if to avoid answering questions Outside of His Ream of logic he resorts to that Childish Habit of Insult and of course Blaming Other and of course the sort of Bullying Behavour one would Attribute to National Party MPs or School Yard Bullies!!!

That’s this horrible regime in a nutshell. Its dawning on all of them except Seymour that they have gone way to far here and will suffer for it over the next 12 months.

Peters is a hideous vacant personality who should be kept at arms length and isolated from having influence in any elected corporate government.

Him and his MP’s still voted for this legislation knowing full well it goes against everything Peters says he stands against and that 98% of submissions were against it passing into law.

ACT the party that once quoted Milton Friedman on the evils of state-sponsored monopoly now acts as a quiet accomplice to New Zealand’s most powerful cartels

THE REGULATORY Standards Bill has been rightly described as a ‘corporate bill of rights’. It enshrines principles that elevate property rights above collective well-being, creating an expectation that corporations can demand compensation if public-interest laws—such as those protecting drinking water, wildlife, or housing standards—affect their profits. This is not democracy; it is rule by capital. The overwhelming public opposition to the bill, with 98% of submissions rejecting it, underscores its undemocratic nature. Yet the government, under pressure from ACT leader David Seymour, forced it through, showing contempt for the people it claims to represent.
