West Bank

Since 24:00 on 7 October 2023, Occupation forces have imposed a complete closure on the West Bank (due to the aggression in the Gaza Strip), and have prevented people, including permitholders, from entering the city of Jerusalem as well as Israel, with the exception of diplomatic and international missions and humanitarian cases after prior coordination, until further notice.

Defence for Children International

In the last few days, Israeli forces have fatally shot two Palestinian boys in the Occupied West Bank: 15-year-old Yamen Hamed Yousef Hamed in Silwad and 17-year-old Jameel Atef Jameel Hanani in Beit Furik.

Israeli forces have killed 43 Palestinian children in the Occupied West Bank this year, and not a single Israeli soldier or official has been held accountable. Meanwhile, in Gaza, Palestinian children are continuing to suffer under Israel’s campaign of genocide. Our team of field researchers is working hard to diligently document violations of Palestinian children’s rights.

Palestinian children like Yamen and Jameel grow up in a hyper-militarised environment, where Israeli forces regularly enter Palestinian communities to arrest, injure, as well as kill Palestinians, including children. The United States and other countries providing resources to the Israeli military must cutoff the flow of weapons, money and diplomatic cover to Israel.

Leslie Bravery
Leslie Bravery is a Londoner with vivid World War Two memories of the Nazi blitz on his home town. In 1947/1948 His father explained to him what was happening to the Palestinians thus: “Any ideology or political movement that creates refugees in the process of realising its ambitions must be inhuman and should be opposed and condemned as unacceptable.” What followed confirmed this assessment of the Zionist entity a hundredfold. Now a retired flamenco guitarist, with a lifelong interest in the tragedy of what happened to the Palestinian people, he tries to publicise their plight. Because the daily injustices they suffer barely get a mention in the mainstream news media, Leslie edits/compiles a daily newsletter, In Occupied Palestine, for the Palestine Human Rights Campaign. These days, to preserve his sanity, he enjoys taking part in a drama group whenever possible!
