Merciless blitz on starving Gaza — growing numbers

17 more people killed and 71 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile-launches and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, have resulted in 17 dead and 71 wounded. The total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, has risen to at least 67,211 and the total wounded is at least 169,961. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 91 and, that of those injured, is more than 231. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
UN Relief Chief outlines 60-day plan to deliver vital aid after Gaza ceasefire:
“For those tens of thousands of Palestinians and Israelis who have lost their lives in the last two years, on October 7th and since, including the hundreds of our humanitarian colleagues who have died trying to save lives; for those who have hoped against all hope for reason to prevail and this day to come; for those who yearn for food, medicine, shelter, security, to be reunited with their families and loved ones; and for those whose future can still be one of peace, we must act, and we will act.”
West Bank
Since 24:00 on 7 October 2023, Israeli Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure on the West Bank, preventing residents and other permit-holders from entering or leaving. The Israeli military also imposes severe and highly–variable travel restrictions on all residents.

Israeli Army attack – home invasion – 3 wounded: Jenin – 16:20, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, raided the town of Ya’bad and searched a house, wounding 15– year–old Muhammad Jawad Abu Bakr, Yamen Muhammad Badarna (aged 17) and Muhammad Jawad Abu Bakr.
Israeli Army attacks: Tulkarem – the Israeli military, firing live ammunition, continued to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, invading and occupying homes.

Israeli Army attack – home invasion – 3 wounded: Hebron – 12:00–17:00, the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition and escorting settlers, stormed the city, wounding three residents: Muhammad Khaldoun Kababji, Zain Murad Muhammad Zeitoun and Muhammad Abdul-Muez Al-Atrash.
Home invasion: Jerusalem – 12:10, Israeli Occupation forces raided the town of Abu Dis and searched a home.
