37 more people killed and 175 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile-launches and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, have resulted in 37 dead and 175 wounded. Civil Defence crews retrieved four more bodies from underneath bomb-damaged property, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 65,419. The total wounded is now at least 167,160. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 91 and, that of those injured, is more than 233. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

Key Highlights
Over 3,000 Palestinians have been displaced in the West Bank since 7 October 2023, citing settler attacks and access restrictions, including 40 over the past week.
Israeli settlers vandalised water networks in five locations across the West Bank, cutting off access to water for hundreds of residents of Palestinian Bedouin and herding communities.
Israeli forces forcibly evacuated five families from the Tulkarem refugee camp and conducted a large-scale raid in Ya’bad, in Jenin Governorate, affecting nearly 20,000 residents.
Between 1 January and 15 September 2025, the World Health Organisation documented 203 attacks on health–care across the West Bank, including 166 incidents of obstruction to health–care delivery.
Following the killing of two Israeli soldiers by a Jordanian truck driver transporting cargo for Gaza on 18 September, Israeli authorities closed Allenby Bridge between the West Bank and Jordan until further notice.
Humanitarian
Between 16 and 22 September, Israeli forces killed two Palestinian men and injured 45 others, including six children, in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Israeli settlers injured another 10 Palestinians during the reporting period. A Jordanian man carried out a shooting attack, killing two Israeli soldiers at the Al Karama/Allenby Bridge border crossing.
On 16 September, undercover Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya City and surrounded the homes of two Palestinian men. They shot, injured and took prisoner both men. In addition, a 14-year-old boy was shot in the head and transferred to hospital. Later that day, Israeli forces informed the Palestinian District Co–ordination Office (DCO) of the deaths of the two men, whose bodies have been withheld. Three other detained Palestinians were released the following day.
Since 7 October 2023, 994 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, two of whom died of wounds sustained prior to 7 October. Of the total, 965 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces, 19 by Israeli settlers, and ten where it remains unknown whether the perpetrators were Israeli forces or settlers. More than half of the 965 Palestinian fatalities caused by Israeli forces (643) were in the northern West Bank. Of them, 278 were in the Jenin Governorate alone. During the same period, Palestinians killed 41 Israelis, including 23 members of Israeli armed forces in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Spain to join Italy in deploying naval ship to escort Gaza flotilla
A Spanish naval vessel will join the Global Sumud Flotilla for Gaza to provide assistance and, if necessary, conduct rescues, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has said. Italy had earlier announced it was dispatching a frigate after a night of drone attacks on the humanitarian flotilla opposed by the Israeli Government.

West Bank
Since 24:00 on 7 October 2023, Israeli Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure of the West Bank, preventing residents and other permit-holders from entering or leaving. The Israeli military also imposes severe and highly variable travel restrictions on all residents.
Occupation settler armed violence – 1 person killed, 4 wounded: Ramallah – evening, armed Israeli settlers, accompanied by Occupation forces, invaded a park in the village of Al-Mughayir and opened fire on people, killing a 20-year-old man, Saeed Murad Naasan, and wounding four other people.
Israeli Army attacks – refugee camp: Jenin – Since 12:20 on 28 January 2025, Israeli forces, firing live ammunition, continue their storming of the city and its refugee camp. A resident, Abdullah Saeed Tawfiq Agbariya, has been run over and injured in the city.
Israeli Army attacks – refugee camps – home invasions: Tulkarem – the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition, continue to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, invading and occupying homesand taking prisoner two more people.
Israeli settler attack: Nablus – 18:20, armed Israeli Occupation settlers, opening indiscriminate fire, raided the eastern spring area in Burin village.
