Here was Te Parti Māori co-Leader, Debbie Ngarewa-Packer very clear on this weeks Bradbury Group about her thoughts regarding Takuta ‘Doc’ Ferris’ comment regarding other ethnicities helping Labour out in the by-election…
…hours after that broadcast, Doc has a late night rant where he bewilderingly doubles down on his original comments.
Look.
I like Doc, he’s an intelligent, articulate and brilliant young man but his late night sectarian double down is very difficult to follow intellectually and the certainty he espouses while articulating it is just as disturbing.
His late night argument is that the offence caused by his initial post…

…is misplaced because the English language is a colonised force that restricts indigenous rights and you shouldn’t be hating on him when it’s the construct of the language that is problematic.
Don’t hate the player, hate the dictionary?
Allow me to break down his argument.
His argument is that he’s driving a car and hits your dog but you shouldn’t get upset at him about hitting your dog because he didn’t design the car.
Ummmmmmmm.
That’s what I call a 3 Bong Philosophy in that it only sounds meaningful after 3 bongs.
How the Christ is Labour taking away from the Māori voice when Peeni is Māori?
During this By-election Māori Party activists called Willie Jackson a Colonized traitor! During his time in Government, Willie Jackson secured $3billion in Māori specific development, an amount larger than any other Māori Politician ever – if Willie Jackson’s ‘Māoriness’ fails the Māori Party purity test – what hope for a change of Government?
By doubling down, Doc has empowered every right wing Troll to paint his comments out as proof positive that the Māori Party have no interest in working with Labour and are only focused on racial sectarianism.
I call for a cup of tea and a lie down for the Doc and perhaps half the THC in his medicinal cannabis prescription because his justification is bat shit nutty.
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

“How the Christ is Labour taking away from the Māori voice when Peeni is Māori?”
Guess his view is that Winston, Seymour, Peeni and Willie are taking away from the maori voice because they are not separatist enough.
Sounded like a belief not 3 bong rhetoric. Stating the TPM quiet part out loud?
Question – How many Māori MPs in the Labour govt were bulldozed or felt they had to vote for the Seabed and Foreshore Act 2004?
We know one-person wouldn’t but how many did?
He is a such a liability for TPM.
We don’t need low iq losers like this guy in parliament. It does nothing for the poor and working class.
