It’s working… Act policy will become National’s policy. Their No.2 is part of the network, and their brainless leader is both agreeable and disposable.
The malleable face and sheeplike manner sometimes stretched enough to partially cover the systematic abuses of power instituted by Roger Douglas. He was on the whole more successful than the grey creatures that survived in the Labour party, ekeing out their shameful days in the husk of the party they betrayed, but none of them were anything to be proud of, they had all betrayed their country into poverty and shame, and the citizens, even with the greatest of goodwill, could never look at them without contempt. It was the contempt of their families that hurt the most – though it was never spoken of, the implicit “I did it all for you” met the equally silent “Own your own failures you worthless creature – you did nothing at all”.
