Trump says Fed renovation is not a fireable offense, backing off Powell

The president last week suggested the cost overruns — the project was initially billed to be $2.5 billion — could be cause to fire Powell. Last week, reports emerged that Trump indicated to Republicans during a meeting in the Oval Office that he plans to fire Powell, a senior White House official told The Hill.

He has since backed off and denied those reports.

Just consider what we have seen here.

Trump threatened to accuse the Federal Reserve Chair on trumped up charges of corruption just so he could fire him???

What the actual fuck?

Trump is a bullying narcissistic nightmare of gleeful ignorance.

He is an Orange fascist.

He will only get worse.

  1. Meanwhile, right wing governments and wannabe dictators are watching Trump closely for tips and suggestions on how to screw over their own populations.

We already see evidence of this in Aotearoa with our current CoC.

  2. Trump accused Powell of cost overruns,(from 2.5 to 3.1 billion), live on T.V. whilst walking through the renovated building….trying to embarass him…it backfired.

When Powell asked to see the documents that showed that Trump handed over some papers.
Powell quickly decifered and noticed that Trump had included in the costs of another building that had been completed 5 years earlier.

It was a possum in the headlights moment for Trump… making a complete dick of himself

  3. Might be his most endearing action yet.

The idea of having an independent reserve bank is literally insane. The money of a nation must be exercised in the interests of its people, not foreign bankers, as is the purpose of the US Federal Reserve (and our Reserve Bank).
