The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog, 3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.
All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.
EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird Bullshit about the UN taking over the world and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

An interesting doco 42m showing people in Africa working with spades – a new experience perhaps for finger tappers. There’s gold in information. I like Paul Metsers song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lswLTVtqzW8
Farewell to the Gold – it has drawn poor and rich people to it for ever.
This link is about its global importance – don’t know if it is magnetic.

Heard a sad and poignant piece of music on the Concert program perhaps for the likely demise of NZAO. (About 12.30pm Sat 26/7 )
You can hear this played again here the violin is very plaintive. Sound is dramatic – high then low.

Someone else must have a good idea or see something that is important to NZ society? I am only given space here because I come up with some different POV,
or things that haven’t been covered in the main blog, and may attempt reasoning.
One thing I noticed – the crass way that media even Rnz can treat news and people.

[This later from Arbon about the Erebus project :]
When I returned to Scott Base after the recovery phase, I was asked to help erect a memorial cross on the site. This was done in a gale-force wind so bad the helicopter could not shut down. I believe this was because the wind was blowing so hard, they wouldn’t be able to get the machine started without damage to the main rotors.”
He also helped to recover the bodies of 14 people who died when a viewing platform collapsed at Cave Creek in Paparoa National Park in 1995.
Arbon was a beekeeper (like Hillary) and was involved in rescue work at an important tragic time as well as Erebus. Seems to deserve a better headline than referring to his clickbait scam from our national radio:

Those Kiwis that survive our present debacle and are still alive at the end of the century must learn to live within the parameters of better values, looser about some things, but respecting each other and controlling grand individual impulses that feed into some overblown ego – we’ll have to keep ‘cool’ ourselves and will be busy trying to get cool or warm at the end of the climate change whip.
Perhaps learning about practical things for survival, but similar time and concern spent on studying philosophy first, so getting ‘pure thought’ and then psychology, how we deal with our minds, and social anthropology. Then we won’t have to kill each other as part of our predestination in wars, and sacrifice our lives attempting to get back to a reasoned kind practical thoughtful way of life. I meet so many lovely people and it is sad to think that letting the mad-rich and mad-psychotic war-bound ruin our world.
Here is Knoydart a small peninsula in western northern Scotland. They have bought their land ownership out and put themselves into a trust – doubled their population. From 60 to 120. Great people and enjoy even their arguments. Watch them for tips on how it might be for us.
