69 more killed and 560 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile launches and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, have resulted in 69 dead and 221 wounded. Civil Defence crews retrieved two more bodies from underneath bomb-damaged property, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 55,706. The total wounded is now at least 130,101. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 89 and, that of those injured, is more than 209. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

Our life expectancy results show that the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip generated a life expectancy loss of more than 30 years during the first 12 months of the war, nearly halving pre-war levels.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.

Israeli Army attacks – 1 wounded:Jenin – 21:30–01:10, Israeli troops stormed Ya’bad and the village of Zububa, wounding a special-needs person, Muhammad Salim Abu Bakr.
Israeli Army attack – refugee camps – home invasions: Tulkarem – the Israeli military, firing live ammunition, continued storming the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, variously searching, demolishing and occupying homes.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded and 10 beaten–up in refugee camp: Nablus – the Army, Israeli soldiers, firing live ammunition, stormed the Balata refugee camp, raiding several homes. One resident, Issam Hussein Khalil Abu Ja’sa, was wounded and ten others were beaten-up.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded – population–control: Bethlehem – 12:55, Israeli Occupation forces opened fire on and wounded one person, Jamal Ishaq Abdul Rahman al-Sharawneh, as Israeli forces opened fire from the Annexation Wall towards people trying to make their way to work across the Green Line.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded – population–control: Hebron – 15:50, Israeli forces fired live ammunition towards people, near the entrance to al-Fawar refugee camp.
Home invasions and occupation – 2 people taken prisoner: Jenin – 08:00, Israeli Occupation forces raided the town of Meithalun, occupying three homes and turning them into military posts. Two residents were taken prisoner.
Home invasions: Qalqiliya – midnight–02:00, the Israeli Army raided and patrolled Azzun and searched a number of homes.
Home invasions and beatings-up – 6 people taken prisoner: Nablus – Israeli troops continued raids on the Balata refugee camp, invading houses and beating-up ten residents. Six residents were taken prisoner.
