The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog, 3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.
All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.
EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird Bullshit about the UN taking over the world and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

I love how TDB manages to strike a balance between freedom of expression and maintaining some level of respect in the discussions. It’s refreshing compared to some of the more toxic comment sections out there.
Repetition AI – does TDB not have a screening device against these? If not you undermine all the effort that writers with thinking considering brain put in to this blog. Ultimately a waste of timer bothering. Sort yourselves out please, if you want to stand for truly fair speech and human community. Trouble is what/who else is bolshy enough with restraint, to plough a way through and open human vistas. The time for such consideration is NOW. Ignore me not moderators, it is a warning about AI wreaking havoc on us all. Don’t make it easier.

This could be worth reading about future problems.
This little ditty is good. Can we have one for NZAO?

We need to boost ourselves and promote ourselves. Distant relatives of mine feel embarrassed by aspects of our culture. ‘NZ has perhaps more to offer as a trade mark than a male dance of aggression its very disappointing…..reducing all of us sporting a NZ passport to a rather basic , cute , species…met with an indulgent smile ..’
Oh dear, I thought we were quite bearable, quite huggable really. All nations can be amusing in their pretensions; thank goodness for Monty Python reminding us to laugh at ourselves, and the Britishness from Home that got absorbed into our sinews. I’ve thought we’re rather grand really and didn’t need a sense of humour about us when overseas though it did bring out the adult in us, very bracing it was. So let’s face up to our weaknesses, link hands and forge on together.

What about raising philosophy and debate to the fore, and thinking around problems and analysing what is required from a project then the most reasonable cost to achieve a working outcome. Yeah what’s stopping that????
Science has gone about as far as we ought to go and we won’t be better off with boofheads running around on Daddy’s money acting smart with some way to breed dual bodied cattle – hey look two for one! Everyone is so up themselves if they have money. We are already so sharp we might cut our throats.
Have you seen the film The Quiet Earth. Bruno Lawrence in it is dead now – I didn’t see it but believe he and it was good.
